Time Travel: A Radio Memoir
Martin Bock is a licensed acupuncturist- "among other things," he playfully emphasizes, without revealing what those other things are. As an uncomfortable child who stuttered and serially fell asleep in class, he learned that writing poetry could save him, emotionally. When he was diagnosed with cancer as an adult, writing memoir-style pieces took priority. Here, Martin transports us back to the beat scene in Boston, in the early 60s. He reads an essay about a serious injury, and the words he thought would be his last.
